Mothers Union

The Mothers’ Union is a Christian organisation which promotes the well-being of families worldwide. We achieve this by developing prayer and spiritual growth in families, studying and reflecting on family life and marriage and their place in society, resourcing our members to take practical action to improve conditions for families, both nationally and in the communities in which they live.

The parish’s Mothers’ Union meet on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 2.00pm at either St. Mary’s Church, Aylesbury or various venues in Bierton. Our meetings start with a hymn and prayers, followed by a talk from a variety of interesting and inspiring speakers, occasional we will visit another church for fellowship with their Mothers’ Union. Meetings finish with an opportunity to enjoy friendship over a cup of tea, coffee and biscuits.

Most importantly we have the opportunity to pray together in companionship for the wholehearted support of marriage and family life worldwide.

You do not have to be a mother to join the Mothers Union. Men may also enrol as members if they wish. Feel free to join us at one of our meetings as a visitor. There is no initial commitment to enrol as a member. You will be warmly welcomed, please contact the Vicar for further information.
